Anaheim Outlook
The Anaheim Ducks took on the Seattle Kraken on Thursday to start the season. The Ducks got off to a solid start putting up 17 shots on goal and found themselves tied 1-1. Becket Sennecke scored his first goal in his first NHL game, but the Kraken scored the next two goals and ended up winning 3-1. Overall the Anaheim’s puck possession numbers were solid with a CF% of 59.5% and FF% of 52.81% at even strength. The Ducks also outshot the Kraken 36-31 despite losing 3-1.

Ryan Strome was placed on the IR.
Tim Washe was reassigned to San Diego yesterday.

San Jose Outlook
The Sharks lost their first game of the season in overtime against the Vegas Golden Knights. The teams traded goals in all three periods resulting in a 3-3 regulation tie. Reilly Smith scored early in the extra session to give Vegas a 4-3 win. Jeff Skinner, Alexander Wennberg, and Philipp Kurashev scored in the losing effort for San Jose.
