Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks are currently on a six game losing streak and will look to end it tonight against the Canucks. Anaheim has been behind to start the third period in each of the last six games. They tried to rally in each of the six contests, but haven’t been able to perform the comeback kid magic they had earlier this season. Anaheim had won six of the previous nine times they were down to start the third period. Through 21 contests this season, the Ducks have been down 15 times heading into the third period.

Anaheim has gone 2-8-0 in their last 10 games. They are currently in sixth place in the Pacific Division.

Injury/Team News:

Radko Gudas is out with a lower body injury tonight. He is listed as day-to-day.

Trevor Zegras (lower body injury) remains on the IR. He appears to have been playing hurt for a good portion of the games at the start of this season. ESPN’s Emily Kaplan believes he has played about half of the games injured this season. According to Greg Cronin, the injury is likely somewhere between the knee and the chest area for him and Drysdale.

Jamie Drysdale (lower body injury) was placed on the IR retroactively to October 15th. The timetable for his return is unknown. The Ducks are being cautious and don’t want to rush him back too early.

Isac Lundestrom suffered an Achilles tendon injury while training in the beginning of July. He had surgery and the return time is about six months.

Vancouver Outlook 

The Canucks are coming off a 4-3 loss to the San Jose Sharks. The teams were tied at two to start the third period, but then the Sharks scored twice in about a minute to start the third period. The Canucks scored late in the game to pull within one and make it interesting, but they couldn’t tie the game up.

Vancouver has gone 5-5-0 in their last 10 games. They are currently in 3rd place in the Pacific Division.
