Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks return home after their brief road trip which saw them going 1-1-0. Anaheim got down 2-0 in Nashville and were able to comeback in the third period for the 6th time this season. They set an NHL record with the most 3rd period comebacks(6) in the first 15 games of an NHL season. The Ducks then went to Colorado and found themselves down 3-1 to start the third, but the Avs poured it on winning 8-2.
Tonight will be the first time Radko Gudas will face his old team. He helped lead the Panthers to the Stanley Cup Final last season coming up short against Vegas. Tristan Luneau was recalled from San Diego today.
Trevor Zegras (lower body injury) was placed on the IR on Monday. He appears to have been playing hurt for a good portion of the games at the start of this season. ESPN’s Emily Kaplan believes he has played about half of the games injured this season. According to Greg Cronin, the injury is likely somewhere between the knee and the chest area for him and Drysdale.
Jamie Drysdale (lower body injury) was placed on the IR retroactively to October 15th. The timetable for his return is unknown. The Ducks are being cautious and don’t want to rush him back too early.
