The Ducks started off their eight-game homestand with an overtime loss to the Nashville Predators. Anaheim battled back from an early 2-0 deficit to tie the game up. The Ducks then rallied again down 4-2 in the final three minutes of the game. They again scored twice and forced overtime, but then lost after a fury of odd-man rushes by both teams.

The Islanders scored first and had a 1-0 lead after the first period, but then the Kings scored four in a row in the second period and never looked back. The Islanders have lost two in a row and have gone 6-3-1 in their last 10 games. They are currently holding down the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
New York averages 2.87 goals per game and they give up 2.71 against. They have been 16.5% efficient on the power play and 82.2% efficient on the penalty kill.
