Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks continue their homestand against the Calgary Flames ahead of the holiday break. After winning back-to-back games on the road, Anaheim has lost their last two games. They lost to Minnesota and Los Angeles both by a 4-1 final. Lukas Dostal has been in net for the Ducks lately as John Gibson and Anthony Stolarz are both dealing with injuries.

The team has been averaging 2.32 goals per game, but has also been giving up 4.15 against. They are 15.8% efficient with the extra man and 68.5% efficient on the penalty kill, both ranking at the bottom of the league. Anaheim also gives up on average 37.9 shots per game which is the most in the league. They average around 30 shots on goal per game(29.3).

Troy Terry leads the Ducks with 28 total points(12 G + 16 A).

Injury News:

Urho Vaakanainen has been dealing with the flu.

John Gibson is dealing with a lower-body injury.

Anthony Stolarz has a lower body injury and has been placed on the IR.

Isac Lundestrom has a fractured finger and will be out for six weeks. He has been placed on the IR.

Derek Grant (lower-body injury) is on the IR.

Max Jones (upper-body injury) was placed on the IR yesterday.

The Ducks acquired Michael Del Zotto in a three-way trade. He has been assigned to San Diego.

Colton White was placed on a conditioning loan with the Gulls.

Calgary Outlook 

The Flames played the Los Angeles Kings last night and lost 4-3 in overtime. Calgary was down 3-1 in the third and was able to rally and tie the game before failing in the extra session. The Flames are currently on a four game California road trip and won the previous two matches against the San Jose Sharks. Tonight they finish their trip against the Ducks.

The Flames have gone 4-2-4 in their last 10 games and are currently in fifth place in the Pacific Division. Calgary averages 3.12 goals per game and they give up 23.06 against. They have been decent on the power play (20.2% efficiency) and their penalty kill(81.5% efficiency).

Elias Lindholm leads the team with 32 total points(11 G + 21 A).
