Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks are coming off a 7-0 blowout loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday. To make matters worse John Gibson had to leave the game with a lower body injury and Lukas Dostal ended up finishing the game. Anthony Stolarz has been placed on the IR and Olle Eriksson Ek has been called up from San Diego.
It seems like the Anaheim situation keeps getting worse by the moment. The Ducks are on a three game losing streak where they have been outscored 16 to 1. Something needs to change and quick to turn the Ducks play around.
The team has been averaging 2.27 goals per game, but has also been giving up 4.27 against. The Ducks have struggled on special teams this season. They are 14.3% efficient with the extra man and 67.0% efficient on the penalty kill, both ranking at the bottom of the league. Montreal Outlook
The Canadiens are coming off a 3-2 loss last night to the Ottawa Senators. Montreal was down 3-0 after two periods of play and fought back in the third period, but came up short. The Canadiens have gone 5-4-1 in their last 10 games and are currently in 6th place in the Atlantic Division.
