Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks finally earned a regulation win on Wednesday against the Rangers. New York scored early on in the game, but Anaheim was able to build 3-2 lead by the end of two periods. In the third, the Ducks held on for dear life as John Gibson made 17 saves to secure the victory.

Anaheim has been averaging 37.8 shots on goal against, while registering 29.8 in their favor. The Ducks have struggled on the penalty kill(66.2% efficiency) and on the power play(12.5% efficiency). The team has been averaging 2.55 goals per game, but has also been giving up 4.15 against.

Troy Terry leads the Ducks with 21 total points(8 G + 13 A).

Injury News:

Nathan Beaulieu (arm) and Urho Vaakanainen (undisclosed) have both resumed practicing according to Brian Hayward. Beaulieu was activated off the IR and will play today. Vakkanainen is still listed on the IR.

John Klingberg will not play today as he is out with a lower body injury.

Max Comtois is day-to-day with a lower body injury.

Derek Grant (rib) is hopeful he can join the team on the next road trip and return to action according to Eric Stephens. Grant has started skating with the team again.

Ottawa Outlook 

The Senators are currently on a three game losing streak. They lost at home to New Jersey 5-1 before going on their west coast road trip and then losing to San Jose and Vegas. They have been having trouble scoring recently as they have just one goal in each of those three losses. They are currently in last place in the Atlantic Division.

Ottawa averages 3.05 goals per game and give up 3.58 against. They have had success on the power play operating at 22.4% efficiency. The penalty kill has been decent at 77.3% efficiency.

Brady Tkachuk leads the team in total points with 22 (7 G + 15 A).
