The Ducks continue their short road trip in San Jose. Anaheim started the trip with a 6-5 shootout win over the Sharks and then lost on Thursday in a wild 8-5 game in Vancouver. The game got away from the Ducks in the third period against the Canucks. Anaheim was finally able to break through on the power play, but the overall team defense had issues trying to contain the Canucks.
Anaheim has been averaging 38.7 shots on goal against, while registering 29.1 in their favor. The Ducks have struggled on the penalty kill(61.5% efficiency) and on the power play(12.1% efficiency). The team has been averaging 2.73 goals per game, but has also been giving up 4.64 against.
Troy Terry leads the Ducks with 15 total points(5 G + 10 A).
Derek Grant is out tonight with an upper-body injury.
Jamie Drysdale will be out with a torn labrum(left shoulder) for 4-6 months.
Sam Carrick was placed on a conditioning loan to San Diego.

John Moore is also on the IR with an undisclosed injury.
San Jose Outlook
Like the Ducks, the Sharks have also had a slow start to their season. San Jose started the season with five consecutive losses. After that they alternated wins and losses over the next six games, but now are on a three game losing streak. The Sharks have had a difficult time scoring goals only averaging 2.46 per game, which is the league worst. Their penalty kill has been excellent at 92.3% efficiency and the power play average at 13.2%. San Jose continues to look for consistency in their game.
Erik Karlsson leads the team with 18 total points(10 G + 8 A).
