Ducks Forced To Change Hotel In Ottawa
By Michael Walters
The Anaheim Ducks are coming off a 5-4 win over the Montreal Canadiens where Trevor Zegras pulled off “The Michigan”. The team then traveled to Ottawa, but had to change their hotel arrangements according to Bruce Garrioch of Post Media.
The Ottawa police chief has encouraged people to avoid the downtown area of Ottawa this weekend because of the large convoy of truckers and supporters filling streets to protest the COVID-19 vaccine mandates and related health measures.
There have been hundreds of protestors around Parliament Hill calling for an end to the COVID-19 mandates and restrictions. Trucks were seen driving through the downtown area and nearby honking their horns in protest.
The Ducks game is still on for tomorrow as planned for now. They may have to leave a little earlier to get to the arena due to the increased traffic from the truckers and protestors. The game is scheduled at 9:30 AM PT/12:30 PM ET.
