Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks played the Golden Knights on Tuesday and lost 5-4. The Ducks got down 4-1 and rallied to tie the game, but ended up losing 5-4. Ryan Getzlaf returned after missing two games and had the game-tying goal. After the game was concluded, it was discovered that Tomas Nosek had tested positive for COVID. The NHL issued a statement yesterday that tonight’s game is scheduled to happen.
Poor starts, inconsistent play, and scoring have been issues for the Ducks this season. The Ducks average 2.00 goals a game, which ranks 30th in the league. They give up 2.71 against per game, which is 14th in the NHL. The power play is only 9.4% efficient, which ranks 29th in the NHL. The penalty kill is ranked 3rd in the league at 86.5%.

John Gibson suffered a facial laceration as a result of a collision in practice on Monday per Alyson Lozoff. As a result Ryan Miller started in the last game, but Gibson is expected to start tonight.
Lukas Dostal were reassigned to the Gulls.
Andrew Agozzino, David Backes, Max Jones, and Andy Welinski were promoted to the roster.

The Golden Knights got out to a big 4-1 lead against the Ducks on Tuesday, but then gave up three straight goals in the third period. Vegas was able to get a late goal and pull out a 5-4 victory. Vegas leads the West Division with a 8-1-1 record.
