Podcast: Trade Deadline Madness
By Michael Walters
The Anaheim Ducks General Manager Bob Murray headed into the trade deadline with one trade under his belt already. Ondrej Kase was sent to the Boston Bruins for a 2020 1st Round Draft Pick and David Backes.
On the morning of the trade deadline, Derek Grant was traded which was not a surprise, but Murray wasn’t done yet. Nick Ritchie was shortly traded later in the morning and Devin Shore was announced as being traded when noon Pacific time rolled around.
It seemed like the Ducks might have been done, but they weren’t. Three, yes THREE, more trades were announced after the deadline had passed. Korbinian Holzer, Daniel Sprong, and lastly Angus Redmond were all shipped out.
