Anaheim Outlook
The Anaheim Ducks took down their crosstown rivals, the Los Angeles Kings, 4-2 on Monday. Dallas Eakins changed up the forward lines and the power play units, which we had hoped for on the podcast. It paid off as the Ducks got a goal on their lone power play and were able to get scoring chances throughout the game. Derek Grant led the way with two goals in the contest.
Tonight the Ducks will turn their attention to the Washington Capitals. The last time these two teams met there were plenty of fireworks. After a hard check delivered by Brendan Leipsic, Garnet Hathaway and Erik Gudbranson squared off. In the end, Hathaway spit in Gudbranson’s face. Hathaway was suspended three games. It should be an intense matchup as these two teams will meet for the last time during the regular season.
Jakob Silfverberg leads the team with 10 goals.
