Anaheim Outlook

The Anaheim Ducks won their first two games under Dallas Eakins beating Arizona 2-1 and San Jose 3-1.

The Ducks got off to a slow start in the season opener against Arizona but were able to pull out the one-goal victory over the Coyotes. In the second game, the Ducks looked stronger and could have beaten the Sharks by a wider margin. The undefeated Ducks will start their first road trip against the undefeated Red Wings.

Anaheim had looked better during even-strength play, but need to work on their special teams play. The Ducks are still looking for their first power-play goal. Coach Eakins also wants the team to tighten up on taking needless penalties.

Injury/Roster Updates:

Sam Steel (mid-body injury) was placed on the IR. He is with the team on the road trip per the Athletic’s Eric Stephens. There is a chance he is activated on the road trip to play in the upcoming games after today.

Max Comtois was recalled from San Diego, but it doesn’t appear like he will play tonight per Coach Eakins.

Ducks signed Bo Groulx to a three-year entry-level contract.
