The Ducks retired Scott Niedermayer‘s number this past Sunday and didn’t disappoint on the ice as they beat the Capitals 5-2. Jakob Silfverberg and Adam Henrique both scored two goals and Corey Perry got his first of the season. Ryan Miller got the win making him the winningest US-born goalie in the NHL. Cam Fowler got an assist in the contest which put him past Scotty for the leader among Ducks defensemen in assists.
Jakob Silfverberg leads the team with 15 goals. Ryan Getzlaf has 11 goals and leads the team with 38 total points.

John Gibson(head & back) and Chad Johnson(head) both remain on the IR.

The Wild are coming off a 4-0 loss to the St. Louis Blues. Minnesota couldn’t get much going in that contest and has gone 2-5-3 in their last 10 games. The Wild are currently in the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference with three teams one point behind them(Chicago, Colorado, and Vancouver). The Ducks are five points behind the Wild.
