Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks started out their road trip with a dramatic win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Anaheim was down 3-2 in the final minutes and was called for a penalty with just 18 seconds left in regulation. Beckett Sennecke rushed the Pittsburgh net and threw the puck at it as the buzzer sounded. His shot was blocked by Erik Karlsson, but it went off his glove and into the net with just 0.1 left on the clock. The Ducks then went on to win the shootout. Ville Husso was solid in net stopping 44 of 47 shots on net.

In their next contest they got down 3-0 in the first period to the New York Islanders. The Ducks were able to pull within one early in the third period, New York responded with two goals, however, and went on to win 5-2.

The Ducks then played a really early game at 9:30AM PST against the New Jersey Devils. Troy Terry got the Ducks on the board first, but the Devils then scored the next three goals to take a 3-1 lead. They added one more empty net goal and went on to win 4-1.

Yesterday Anaheim got back in win column. They scored 4 times including twice in the final minute to 4-1 over the Rangers. They have a chance to go above .500 with a win against Columbus.
