Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks had a two game winning streak after beating San Jose 7-6 and then Pittsburgh 4-3, but then lost to Carolina 4-1. Anaheim has looked better at the start of this season, but there is still room for improvement.
The power play has greatly improved with a 26.7% efficiency, but the penalty kill is struggling only killing off 70% of opponent man advantages. The Ducks have also been better at limiting opponent shots keeping it to about 28 shots on goal against per game, but about a third of those are quality scoring chances.
Team Injuries/News:
Ian Moore was recalled from San Diego.
Jansen Harkins (upper-body) practiced yesterday wearing a red no contact jersey. He was injured back on September 21st in a preseason game against the LA Kings. He could join the team on the road trip.
Ryan Strome will join the Ducks at some point during the road trip, but is not expected to play according to Head Coach Joel Quenneville. Strome remains on the IR with an upper body injury.
