Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks picked up three points in their two road games earlier this week. They rallied Monday night against the Dallas Stars to earn a point. Anaheim got down 2-0 early in the second period, but were able to come back to tie things up and force bonus hockey. John Gibson stopped 39 of 41 shots on goal to keep the Ducks in the game. Anaheim ended up earning a point in the shootout.
In Chicago, the Ducks got down two seperate times by a goal and fought back to tie things up each time. In overtime, Frank Vatrano scored to give the Ducks the win. The bad news is Troy Terry was not able to play after receiving a hard check in the game against Dallas. He hasn’t been skating and is questionable for tonight.
The team has been averaging 2.44 goals per game, but has also been giving up 3.98 against. They are 15.9% efficient with the extra man and 73.2% efficient on the penalty kill, both ranking at the bottom of the league. Anaheim also gives up on average 38.7 shots per game which is the most in the league. They average around 30 shots on goal per game(29.8).

Pittsburgh Outlook
The Penguins are coming a off a 2-1 overtime win against the Colorado Avalanche. Bryan Rust scored a goal late in the game to force overtime and then Kris Letang netted the game winner in the extra session. Pittsburgh has gone 4-3-3 in their last 10 games and is currently in 5th place in the Metropolitan Division. They are in a dog fight with several teams for the two wild card spots in the Eastern Conference.
Pittsburgh averages 3.24 goals per game and they give up 3.06 against. They have been 22.5% efficient on the power play and 81.6% efficient on the penalty kill.
