Three Ducks Prospects Invited To 2020 World Junior Summer Showcase For Team USA

Forty-three players have been invited by Team USA to the 2020 World Junior Summer Showcase which will be held from July 24th through August 1st in Plymouth, Michigan, at the USA Hockey Arena.
Three members of the Anaheim 2018 draft class, Trevor Zegras (1st round, 9th overall), Jackson LaCombe (2nd round, 39th overall), and Henry Thrun (4th round, 101st overall) will take part in the event.
Recently Trevor Zegras was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team and defenseman Henry Thrun was named to the Eastern College Atheltic Conference(ECAC) All-Rookie Team. Zegras was also named to the Hockey East Third-Team All-Stars.
Players that take part in the Showcase are looked at for the purpose of being selected for the U.S. National Junior Team that will compete in the 2021 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship which starts on December 26th, 2020, and goes through January 5th, 2021, in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta.
The United States team will enter the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship looking for its fifth medal in six years after earning a record four-consecutive medals: 2016 Bronze, 2017 Gold, 2018 Bronze, and 2019 Silver.
