Anaheim Outlook

The Anaheim Ducks began their four game road trip in Chicago this past Friday. The Ducks started off the game with a goal but ended up getting behind and losing 4-2. Mistakes in the second period cost them and they couldn’t recover.

The day after the game in Chicago, Sportsnet’s Elliott Friedman said the Ducks could be looking to take on bad contracts in order to bring in more youth on the team. General Manager Bob Murray could try to make this type of move, but will he? For more visit: Friedman Report

The last time the Ducks played in St. Louis, they won 4-1. Derek Grant led the way for Anaheim with a hat trick. This will be the second of three meetings between the teams this season.

St. Louis Outlook

The Blues continue to roll as they have the best record in the Western Conference. They are tied with Boston and Washington at the top of the league with 65 points. St. Louis is 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and is currently on a three-game winning streak. The Blues have beaten San Jose, Buffalo, and the New York Rangers during that streak.

The Blues average 3.22 per game, which is just outside the top 10 in the NHL. They give up 2.63 goals against on average. Their power play is clicking at 25%, which is 4th best in the league. The penalty kill is 81.3% efficient, which is 13th in the league.
