Practice Report: Eaves & Perry Work On Their Return
By Michael Walters
The Anaheim Ducks held practice today. Corey Perry and Patrick Eaves skated with team per OC Register’s Elliott Teaford.
This is the first time Perry has skated with the team since being out the entire season after hurting his knee in September during the preseason. Perry has been skating for a little more than a week as he tries to get back in game shape. Anaheim will play the St. Louis Blues tomorrow before going on their All-Star Break, but Perry is not expected to play. He was originally scheduled to return at the end of February around the trade deadline. He is ahead of schedule according to head coach Randy Carlyle, but likely won’t return until some time next month.
Eaves has been on a conditioning loan with the Gulls, which is supposed last a maximum of 14 days. The Ducks did get an extension on the loan so he can play two more games with San Diego. The Gulls play San Antonio on Friday, January 25th and then the Texas Stars on the 26th. He has played in San Diego’s last three games and hasn’t recorded a point.
Injury Reserve List
None of these players skated today and are not expected to return until sometime in February at the earliest.
