Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks losing streak continued against the Detroit Red Wings and hit 12 games. To add insult to injury, the Ducks lost Ryan Kesler and Jakob Silfverberg in the game. Kesler appeared to injure his hip and Silfverberg took a hard hit into the boards. Those injuries coupled with the losing streak then set off a flurry of activity yesterday. Jakob Silfverberg leads the team with 12 goals. Ryan Getzlaf has ten goals and leads the team with 32 total points(10 G + 22 A).
Injury Updates:
Ryan Kesler placed on the injury reserve list. He appeared to take a hard check in the hip area.
Jakob Silfverberg was also placed on the injury reserve list. He took a hard hit into the boards and appeared to injure his ankle or knee.

Sent Down To San Diego:
Patrick Eaves, Jake Dotchin and Kiefer Sherwood. Eaves was sent to the Gulls on a conditioning loan.
Trades:
Anaheim made three trades yesterday. Pontus Aberg was sent to Minnesota for Justin Kloos. Luke Schenn and a 2020 draft pick were sent to Vancouver for Michael Del Zotto. Lastly, the Ducks reacquired Derek Grant from Pittsburgh for Joseph Blandisi.

Minnesota Outlook
The Wild are coming off a 3-2 shootout win over the Los Angeles Kings. Minnesota started the month on a three-game winning streak and then alternated wins and losses in their last five games. Like Anaheim, they are in the middle of the wild-card race. The wild average 2.83 goals per game and give up 2.89. They have the 10th best power play at 22.0% and the 4th best penalty kill at 84.7%.
Zach Parise leads the team in goals with 19 and total points with 41.
