Anaheim Outlook
The Anaheim Ducks rallied to win their last contest against the St. Louis Blues 3-2. Jakob Silfverberg scored in the game, but he had to leave with an upper-body injury. He skated on his own yesterday, but not with the team. Ryan Getzlaf was a full participant in practice yesterday and could play tonight. The Ducks did call up Joseph Blandisi and Chase De Leo yesterday.
Jakob Silfverberg leads the team with seven total points(3 G + 4 A). John Gibson should get the start tonight as Ryan Miller was in net this past Sunday. There were rumblings yesterday that Nick Ritchie could soon be back with the team.
Projected Lineup
Offense
Andrew Cogliano – Ryan Kesler – Rickard Rakell
Max Comtois – Adam Henrique – Troy Terry
Isac Lundestrom – Sam Steel – Kiefer Sherwood
Joseph Blandisi – Brian Gibbons – Ben Street
Defense
Cam Fowler – Josh Manson
Hampus Lindholm – Brandon Montour
Marcus Pettersson – Luke Schenn
In Net
John Gibson 3-1-1 GAA 2.07 SV% .944 (Projected)
New York Outlook
The Islanders have played four games, winning two and losing two. They beat Carolina and San Jose. They lost both contests they played against the Nashville Predators. Mathew Barzal leads the team with five total points(1 G + 4 A). Anders Lee and Valtteri Filpulla both lead the team with two goals. New York is 25% efficient on the power play so they will look to draw penalties against the Ducks by sustaining a solid forecheck.
Projected Lineup
Offense
Andrew Ladd – Mathew Barzal – Josh Bailey
Anders Lee – Brock Nelson – Jordan Eberle
Anthony Beauvillier – Valtteri Filppula – Leo Komarov
Matt Martin – Stephen Gionta – Cal Clutterbuck
Defense
Adam Pelech – Ryan Pulock
Nick Leddy – Johnny Boychuk
Thomas Hickey – Scott Mayfield
In Net
Robin Lehner, 1-1-0 GAA 2.02 SV% .937 (Projected)
