Anaheim Outlook
The Anaheim Ducks started the season with three consecutive wins but dropped their fourth contest against the Arizona Coyotes in a shootout. Ryan Kesler did make his season debut and even scored the first goal in the opening period of the game. After that Anaheim had trouble with their faceoffs and passing for most of the second half of the contest, but still managed to force overtime. The Ducks still did manage one point and have yet to lose in regulation.
Jakob Silfverberg leads the team with five total points(1 G + 4 A) and Maxime Comtois leads the team with two goals. Both had three-game point streaks. Comtois and Josh Manson are tied for third in the league for hits(15) with four other players. Patrick Eaves(shoulder), Ryan Getzlaf(groin), and Ondrej Kase(Head) will likely not be available this weekend. Getzlaf did travel with the team and skated on his own this morning. Based on yesterday’s practice report the Ducks could go with a new forward lineup as shown below.
