Kesler Possibly Out Next Season
By Michael Walters
According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, there is a chance Ryan Kesler could miss next season.
Friedman mentioned that Kesler will not be having surgery, which he already had. He is doing aggressive rehab and treatment to work on his hip area. There has been no official word from the Ducks, but there is a chance he might have to take off the entire next season. According to Friedman, Kesler still wants to play, but a decision may not be made until training camp.
Kesler was able to play through 48 games during the regular season and the entire series against the Sharks. He recorded 14 total points(8 G + 6 A)in the regular season and two more points in the playoffs. He still has four years remaining on his contract. If Kesler is unable to go, then the Ducks will need to rush some young talent in the lineup to fill the void he would create if he is out for the season.
