Game 69: Ducks Look To Rebound In Dallas

By Michael Walters

The Anaheim Ducks(34-22-12) end the short road trip against the Dallas Stars(37-24-6). The game starts at 5:00 PM PT and will be on Prime Ticket locally and AM 830.

Anaheim Outlook:

The Ducks are coming off a 4-2 loss against the Nashville Predators. Anaheim had a slow start in the first period and got down early 2-0. The Ducks did try to rally, but they ended up coming up short. The highlight of the game was Ryan Kesler‘s bout with Ryan Johansen. The Ducks did not have a morning skate today and it looks like Ryan Miller will get the start.

Keys To The Game

The Ducks can’t afford another slow start against the Stars. Anaheim beat Dallas recently 2-0 and there was no love lost at the end of the game. The Ducks defense last night wasn’t on point in the opening period and Anaheim gave up a shorthanded goal in the second period. Anaheim will need a stronger effort tonight against Ducks.

Anaheim’s Projected Lineup:

Rickard Rakell – Ryan Getzlaf – Corey Perry
Andrew CoglianoRyan Kesler – Jakob Silfverberg
Nick Ritchie – Adam Henrique – Ondrej Kase
Jason ChimeraDerek GrantChris Kelly

Cam Fowler  – Brandon Montour
Hampus Lindholm – Josh Manson
Francois Beauchemin  – Kevin Bieksa

In Net
Ryan Miller, 8-5-6, GAA 2.52, SV% .925 (Unconfirmed)

Dallas Outlook:

The Dallas Stars are in the middle of the playoff race like the Anaheim Ducks as they both have 80 points. Tyler Seguin leads the way for Dallas with 36 goals. Alexander Radulov has 24 goals and Jamie Benn both have 22 goals.

Keys To The Game

Since playing Anaheim a few weeks ago, Dallas has been inconsistent going 3-2-2. They have shutout a few opponents but then have also given up five goals on two occasions. They were just shutout by Nashville 2-0, so they need to come out and get a goal early to get some momentum going. Dallas gets most of it’s scoring from the top two lines and they need to going tonight if they want to earn two points.

Dallas’ Projected Lineup:

Mattias Janmark – Tyler Seguin – Alexander Radulov
Jamie Benn – Radek Faksa – Tyler Pitlick
Antoine Roussel – Jason Spezza – Remi Elie

Esa LindellJohn Klingberg

Marc Methot – Stephen Johns

In Net
Kari Lehtonen 11-7-2, GAA 2.30, SV% .919 (Confirmed)
