By Michael Walters
The Anaheim Ducks signed Dennis Rasmussen the team announced today. According to Brian Hedger, the contract is a one-year, one-way deal worth $725,000.
Rasmussen played the last two seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks. In 112 games, Rasmussen registered 17 total points(8 Goals + 9 Assists). His career on ice rating is +5% and he has 16 penalty minutes.
The Swede Rasmussen is about 6’3″ and 205 pounds. He has a left-handed shot and can play center or wing if needed. He is a big and versatile two-way forward. He has offensive potential, though he has been inconsistent in his scoring. He will likely play on the fourth line or a bottom six forward role for Anaheim. He is a depth forward signed at a reasonable cost.
